Help & Getting Started

Follow these steps for the best StudyCap experience.

Before you start

Please make sure StudyCap is compatible with your university's platform before purchasing. If you are unsure, email studycapapp@gmail.com and we will confirm or work with you to add compatibility.

Generate a Summary (Panopto)

Open a lecture in Panopto. Ensure you are on the actual lecture page (video visible).
Open the StudyCap extension. Log in if prompted.
Click “Generate Summary”. A progress message will appear.
Do not close the tab, navigate away, or click other buttons while the summary is generating.
Wait for completion. When finished, you’ll see the summary and can save it to your Lecture Database.

Tips

  • Keep the lecture tab active during generation for the fastest results.
  • If something fails, refresh the lecture page and try again.
